This privacy notice explains what The Last Olive (“the App”) collects, why, who we share it with, and what control you have. We collect the minimum we need to run the App for you, we don’t sell your data, and we make it easy to leave with your data behind you.

1. Who we are

The App is published by LumaScor LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company (“we”, “us”). For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, email hello@thelastolive.app.

2. What we collect

We collect only what we need to run the App for you:

Account. Email address, first name, last name, and the authentication provider you used (email + password, Apple, or Google).
Profile. Display name, optional profile photo, optional “your why” affirmation, optional sober/sober-curious start date, optional path preference.
Activity you create. Wall posts and comments, daily check-ins, daily-list completions, affirmations, lesson opens, exercise opens, zero-proof drink ratings, coach-chat messages, photos and videos you upload, RSVPs to events.
Technical. A vault identifier that ties your devices together so your data syncs, plus basic logs (timestamps, error reports) to keep the App running.
Payment. If you become a paid member, Stripe processes your card. We never see or store full card numbers; we receive a customer ID and your subscription status only.

3. What we do NOT collect

We do not track your location and do not request location permissions.
We do not use third-party advertising trackers, cookies for ads, or social-media pixels.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
We do not access your contacts, photos, microphone, or camera unless you explicitly use a feature that needs them (taking a photo for the wall, recording a voice message in mentor chat, etc.).

4. Why we use your data

To provide the App: store your check-ins, deliver your lessons, sync your data across devices.
To keep your account safe: detect abuse, prevent account takeovers, recover lost passwords.
To communicate with you: send membership emails, important notices, and (if you opt in) occasional founder updates. You can opt out of any non-essential email at any time.
To improve the App: aggregate, de-identified usage patterns (which tab is opened most, where members drop off).

We do not use your individual content to train AI models without your explicit consent.

5. Who we share with

We share data only with the service providers we need to run the App. Each is bound by their own privacy commitments:

Supabase — database, auth, storage (hosted in the United States).
Vercel — web hosting, edge network.
Stripe — payment processing for paid memberships.
Resend — transactional email (account, billing, reminders).
OpenAI — voice-to-text transcription for coach-chat voice messages (the audio is processed and discarded; only the transcribed text is stored on your account).

We will never share your personal data with third parties for their marketing. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the safety of members.

6. Your rights

Wherever you are, you have these rights:

Access. See the data we have on you.
Correct. Update or fix anything that’s wrong — most fields you can edit yourself in Settings.
Delete. Wipe your account and all associated data. Settings → Delete account. This is permanent.
Export. Request a copy of your data. Email hello@thelastolive.app and we’ll send it within 30 days.
Object. Tell us to stop processing your data for any reason that’s not strictly required to provide the App.

California residents have additional rights under CCPA; EU/UK residents under GDPR. Email us to exercise any of them.

7. How we store your data

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We keep account data while your account is open. When you delete your account, we permanently remove your data from our active systems within 30 days. Backups roll off within 90 days.

8. Children

The App is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, email hello@thelastolive.app and we’ll remove it immediately.

9. International transfers

We are based in the United States. If you access the App from outside the U.S., your data will be transferred to and processed in the U.S. By using the App, you consent to that transfer.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. When we do, we’ll update the effective date and, for material changes, surface a renewed acceptance prompt in the App.
